Photo Manipulation and Ethics
A.) Someone at the newspaper used Adobe photo shop or some type of similar software program to remove female ministers and replace them with males to create an all male cabinet. That is considered cloning over people which is considered terminal offense in most U.S daily newspapers. However, even knowing this and knowing that the worker got fired for doing that, there were still other photographers continuing to do it in order to make there photo better and/or create the image that they want, but some continue to get fired. Overall, taking manipulative photo's is wrong unless you've been given permission by the person your gonna clone over, otherwise you shouldn't do it.
B.) I believe that doing this to a photo is wrong and manipulative but at the same time i do think that if you are given permission to make this kind of editing then you should be able to make them without any problems. However the permission has to be coming from the person that the editing is gonna happen to, in my opinion. Basically it all depends on the photographer and what they want as well as the person modeling for the photo.
